Work Location: Rajiv Gandhi Salai, OMR Road, Chennai 600041.
Basic Electrical & Networking Works, Cable Laying, Cable Tray Fabrication. As an Site Network Technician specializing in Basic Electrical Works, Network Works, Cable Laying, and Cable Tray Fabrication, you will play a crucial role in supporting Network projects by performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks related to electrical systems, cable laying, and cable tray fabrication.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives.
Perform network installation, maintenance, and repair tasks according to project specifications and safety standards.
Conduct cable laying activities, including routing, pulling, and termination of cables, ensuring proper connections and cable management.
Fabricate and install cable trays and supports, ensuring correct sizing, alignment, and adherence to engineering drawings.
Assist in the assembly, installation, and wiring of control panels, distribution boards, and switchgear.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians, engineers, and construction personnel, to coordinate work and ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and test results.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Inspect and maintain electrical tools, equipment, and materials, reporting any malfunctions or deficiencies.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to electrical works, cable laying, and cable tray fabrication.
Proficiency in cable tray fabrication, including measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling trays and supports.
Ability to use hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, conduit benders, and cable pulling equipment.
Requirements:
ITI, Diploma, Any Degree or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electrical works is preferred.
Proven experience as a networking technician or a similar role, with a focus on basic electrical works, cable laying, and cable tray fabrication.
Sound knowledge of networking systems, components, and wiring methods.
Familiarity with cable types, sizes, and specifications, as well as cable termination techniques.
Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to different project sites with in Chennai and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
