WHAT YOU'LL DO
BCG is committed to hiring and developing top talent. We are experiencing high levels of growth and are therefore seeking a Web application front-end developer for our Information Technology team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
PSG is an integral part of BCG’s global finance team. The group provides support for the firm’s Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs) on a wide variety of dimensions regarding their evaluation, compensation, and equity programs.
You will be primarily responsible for development and support of the user-interface of the digital products which support the BCG Partner Services function. You will work closely with your agile squad team members to understand business and non-functional requirements, design and develop the front-end components, and integrate with the backend logic and data of the application. You should be detail oriented, web front-end technology savvy, and self-motivated.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
• Designing and developing web application front-end components that are modular, scalable, reusable, and secure
• Developing front-end integrations with other system components
• Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to clarify user-interface requirements that help define the development of a quality product
• Working with service development team to resolve bugs
• Being a team player, are easy to work with and bring a positive attitude in a group dynamic, ability to work collaboratively in virtual teams and someone who is self-starter and highly proactive
• Applying Agile product delivery methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniques
• Learning new tools and technologies with a high degree of competence
• Working with multicultural distributed team located in different time zones
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• 5-7 years of experience of front-end web application development (preferably React.js)
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including the JavaScript object model
• Working experience with front-end CI/CD build pipelines and tools, such as GitHub Actions
• Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL API’s preferred
• Understanding of cross-browser HTML and CSS compliance standards
• Knowledge of device responsive design techniques is preferred
• Knowledge of contemporary authentication tools, such as Ookta, preferred
• Understanding of application monitoring tools, such as Datadog or Splunk, preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required. Major in Computer Science or related Technology field encouraged.
• Knowledge of Financial / HR domain is beneficial
• Experience in working with distributed Agile development teams
