WHAT YOU'LL DO Be part of a team that is transforming BCG into a bionic company! We are seeking a Senior Engineer to be part of the engineering team as we transform and modernize our core financial platforms into the cloud. As IT Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of in-app and side-by-side Extensions to SAP S/4 Hana Public Cloud as part of a multi-year ERP platform implementation. You will work closely with the architecture teams, agile product teams, and an external System Integration (SI) partner to design, development, and quality assurance of Extensions and integrations. You will be part of a dedicated program team and work closely with related agile product teams and functional stakeholders to successfully introduce a cloud-based ERP, along with Extensions, into the BCG ecosystem. You will leverage industry best practices to design and / or configure and implement secure, performant, future proof and scalable solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business. YOU'RE GOOD AT • Software development using object-oriented languages (ABAP OO), modern markup technologies and scripting frameworks (React) using Microservices. • Write well designed, testable, secure & efficient code. • Take ownership for various critical components and systems. • Ensure best practices are being used while writing code. • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies. • Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation. • Development proof of concept code and applications • Participate in code reviews, automated testing and performance monitoring. • Supporting technical owners during solution ideation efforts. • Working with highly technical staff, System integrator teams, working on major program for a common end goal throughout the development lifecycle. • Reviewing low level technical designs and/or code created relevant to project assignments. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required; major in Technology or related field encouraged • Language and global skills: High fluency English, global experience preferred. • 5+ years’ experience in SAP S4Hana Cloud developments, cloud application development and knowledge in Finance Module is must. Working across multiple modules in SAP is plus. • Hands on development experience with SAP ABAP OOP, RAPm, CDS views, ODATA services, SAP Fiori/Ui5, CAPm etc. • Experience with the SAP Extension Suite, building In-app & Side by side Extensions including SAP's Business Technology Platform services. • Experience in in-app extensibility including UI adoption, Custom Fields, Custom business Objects and extending the business logic, Forms and email extensions etc. • Experience in Side-by-Side extensibility using Cloud Application Programming (CAPM) and RESTful Application Programming (RAP) model for ABAP PaaS on SCP. • Experience in delivering SAP S/4 Hana Cloud implementations in a mix of organization types in a plus. • Hands on experience using tools such as SAP Business Application Studio or Visual Studio, SAP HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tool (ADT) for Eclipse etc. • Experienced in software delivery including CI/CD and related DevSecOps practices, working with cloud-based platforms such as GitHub, Azure, AWS. • Willing and able to create detailed solutions and troubleshoot issues when needed. • Experience working in various delivery methodologies. • Experience working collaboratively with project leads, business Process Owners and external partners (systems integrators) • Strong technical competence, with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies. • Flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities.
