This is an opportunity to work on NelsonHall’s Vendor Intelligence Program (VIP), which provides an in-depth and insightful analysis of global IT service vendors. The VIP enables clients to identify shortlists based on detailed evidence of vendor capability. NelsonHall delivers extremely comprehensive profiles, covering all service lines, with a complete analysis of strategy, financials, clients, strengths, challenges, outlook, and more.

Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
The production of detailed IT services vendor profiles providing a comprehensive and objective analysis of vendors' IT and BPS offerings, underpinning capabilities, market and financial strengths, and strategic directions
Maintaining and enhancing the Vendor Intelligence Program research schedule
Identifying opportunities for growth and client expansion
Acting as a subject matter expert and demonstrating thought leadership to NelsonHall clients.
Activities include:
Writing detailed IT service vendor profiles, including strategy, background, financial analysis, target markets, key offerings, strengths & challenges, emphases and new developments, and outlook
Compiling material from NelsonHall’s service line vendor profiles, vendor tracking service coverage and online research
Liaising with sales to maintain and expand client relationships in the KVA program
Provision of market and competitor intelligence to IT services practice
Producing blogs on topics of interest in relation to the KVA program
Tracking vendor news and announcements (including financials, M&A, contract wins, partnerships, and new offerings) and maintaining NelsonHall database
Developing social media presence and propagating NelsonHall research and insights.
Qualifications
Keenness to learn and absorb IT and BPS services domain knowledge is critical, as is intellectual curiosity. Plus, a desire to become one of the leading subject matter experts in managing the KVA program and next-generation approaches to IT services.
Would potentially suit individuals with:
At least 8 years of experience in the IT services industry, possibly in market & competitor intelligence, strategic marketing/product management roles, or bid and sales support
MBAs with a desire to become an IT services domain expert and advise senior executives
Ability to both pay attention to (and interest in) details and also identify the strategic significance thereof
Ability to provide objective, evidence-based insights and commentary and willingness to be positioned as a thought leader
Advanced writing skills combined with a genuine willingness to learn
Strong communication skills to facilitate building relationships across the market and managing discussions regarding vendor capability.
While MBA qualifications are valued, existing domain experience, enthusiasm, and evidence-based writing skills are of greater importance.
