Preszler Injury Lawyers BC is a collaborative, client-focused firm dedicated to advocating for injured individuals across the province. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy IT Specialist to support our law firm’s day-to-day technology operations while serving as the primary point of contact between our internal team and our national IT service provider. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems and the prompt resolution of technical issues across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site IT contact for all internal staff, escalating complex issues to our national IT support partner.
Coordinate and communicate with the external IT company to ensure timely support, system maintenance, and project execution.
Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and user access issues.
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of staff, including setting up workstations, accounts, and access rights.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licences, and support tickets.
Support IT projects such as system upgrades, office moves, or new technology rollouts.
Monitor local systems and report recurring issues or patterns that may require broader IT interventions.
Liaise with vendors for hardware procurement and software licensing as directed.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in an IT support or coordinator role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
Strong understanding of Windows environments, Office 365, remote desktop tools, and basic networking.
Experience with legal software platforms (e.g. Filevine, Soluno, Copitrak, Adobe) is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
Highly organized, with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment.
