Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. This role is essential in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of various operating systems, and experience with a range of IT support tools. Responsibilities
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and other enterprise software.
Assist users with VPN connectivity, firewall configurations, and LAN/WAN network issues.
Manage and escalate incidents using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or other ticketing systems to ensure timely resolution.
Support computer hardware setup, maintenance, and upgrades.
Configure and maintain operating systems and software to optimize performance.
Assist with the setup and support of help desk services for end-users.
Monitor network security protocols and assist with firewall management to protect organizational data.
Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and improvements.
Skills
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN, VPN, and firewall management.
Experience supporting multiple operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Proficiency with service management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident tracking and resolution.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications including Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of operating system installation, configuration, and maintenance procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
