We are hiring a Casual It Support Technician. The ideal candidate is a student or someone already working in IT who wants a simple side arrangement that fits around everything else they're doing.
Requirements for this role:
Looking for candidates available Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 pm.
Experienced in the field of IT or currently studying a related subject matter
This role suits a South East Queensland based candidate only. A few calls a week — mostly inbound support, supporting clients dealing with everyday tech issues.
Important: This isn't a full-time gig or even part-time.
Hourly casual salary ranging between 30$ to 60$ AUD, based on experience. You are paid a minimum set amount, even if there are no calls.
You need:
An established home office setup including a headset, reliable internet and the ability to pick up incoming calls to the IT helpdesk between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm
Work independently, without any guidance at all (3rd party support resources are provided, minimal guidance provided at the beginning) and demonstrate a proactive attitude during the hiring process
Based in South East Queensland
English proficiency and polite attitude
Demonstrated ability to absorb information by including the name of their favorite local food place in their cover letter response
Experienced supporting printer hardware and PBX systems a plus
Can provide at least one verifiable referee who is also based locally (this can be an employer or someone else who knows you) or a police check
