ForumIAS is a leading institute for UPSC Civil Services Examination preparation. We are committed to delivering high-quality educational services and maintaining a robust, efficient technical infrastructure to support students and internal teams.
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Technician to support and manage the organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining networks, and ensuring smooth functioning of all technical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
Setting up, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
Mounting cameras, running cables, connecting equipment, and ensuring proper system configuration.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and resolving network issues, including hardware and software problems, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Regularly inspecting and maintaining CCTV equipment, diagnosing and repairing system faults, and ensuring optimal performance.
Network Monitoring:
Monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and taking proactive steps to prevent outages or disruptions.
Monitoring camera feeds for activity, managing video storage and retention policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Security:
Implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Technical Support:
Providing technical support to end-users, answering questions, and resolving network-related problems.
Documentation:
Documenting network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, and reporting security incidents or breaches.
Collaboration:
Collaborating with other IT professionals and end-users to ensure smooth network operation.
Working with other security personnel and relevant teams to address security concerns and incidents.
Skills Required:
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware (routers, switches), and software. Knowledge of CCTV systems, including analog and IP-based cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and networking principles.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with cameras, cabling, and recording equipment.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze network performance data and identify potential problems.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing network environments.

Pay: ₹162,572.31 - ₹200,000.00 per year
