Technical Proficiency: ITI fitters are skilled in understanding and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. They have a strong grasp of mechanical principles and techniques.
Precision and Accuracy: Fitters are adept at working with precision tools and instruments to ensure that components are machined and assembled accurately according to specifications.
Machine Operation: They are proficient in operating various machines such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinders, and welding equipment to shape and fabricate metal components.
Assembly and Installation: Fitters have the ability to assemble and install mechanical components, machinery, and systems according to engineering drawings and instructions.
Maintenance and Repair: They possess knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and are capable of identifying and rectifying mechanical problems in machinery and equipment.
Safety Compliance: Fitters prioritize safety in the workplace by adhering to safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and working with hazardous materials.
