IV Community Nurse

Working hours: We are a 7 day a week service offering 40 hours over 5 days per week on a 2 week rolling rota.
Main duties of the job
• Key in facilitating a seamless discharge from hospital to home
• Completion of home risk assessments to ensure suitability of the home for clinical procedures
• You will be visiting patients in their own homes undertaking the administration of intravenous medications, including parenteral nutrition and outpatient antibiotic therapies
• You will be fundamental in empowering patients/carers to train to full independence with managing their own care
• In this role you will be responsible for advocating for your patients

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
• A Registered General Nurse with current NMC qualifications
• You will have excellent communication skills as a lone practitioner working closely with your senior nurse and Nurse Manager
• You will need to be confident in managing your own workload with excellent time management skills, adhering to patient's 2 hour visit window times.
• Confident in escalation of any clinical or emergency situations.
• Flexibility to travel is essential.
• Community or TPN experience is an advantage, but not essential as we provide full training.
• 1 year post qualification dependant on experience.
