Japanese / English Bilingual Senior Director Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and oversee the delivery of multiple ERP development projects simultaneously.
Transform the existing legacy ERP support structure into a scalable, modernized delivery organization.
Ensure delivery of high-quality project outputs, meeting timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Collaborative and open-minded attitude, working effectively with both Japan HQ and the U.S. local team.
Develop and implement best-practice methodologies for ERP development, project management, and operational delivery.
Optimize resource allocation, team performance, and operational workflows across all ERP initiatives.
Collaborate closely with the VP of ERP Sales to align delivery capabilities with sales strategy and business development opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the ERP delivery organization.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to ERP delivery teams and managers.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) or Any ERP-related or IT leadership certifications.
10+ years of experience in ERP implementation, development, or delivery leadership roles.
Proven success managing large-scale, complex ERP projects or programs.
Experience transforming or modernizing legacy ERP systems or support organizations.
Strong understanding of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar).
Demonstrated success in managing multiple ERP projects concurrently with full QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) accountability.
Expertise in project and portfolio management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid models).
Ability to oversee technical design, development, and delivery processes.
Strong resource planning, organizational, and operational management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level
Practical experience in HR-related functions such as hiring, evaluation, salary review, and organizational restructuring is big asset.
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
