Very strong background in Java-based Software Design
Experience with continuous integration/delivery, and tooling such as Git/GitHub, Bamboo/Jenkins
Proficiency in SQL and/or non-relational databases such as MongoDB
Main Responsibilities:
• Defect Analysis: Understand and analyses the issue raised by the customer and convert it into a Production defect, with detailed specifications of the issue, its impact and the environment where it was caused.• Estimation: After understanding the issue, estimate the effort required for development of the fix considering the complexity and dependency.• Investigation: Analyze the issue and come up with the most technically feasible solution and document the investigation for developer’s reference.• Impact Analysis: Analyze and Investigate on all functionality and applications which are impacted due to this change. Provide the details to QA Team and other impacted application SPOCs.• Development: Develop the code fix in alignment with the functional specification, perform unit testing, peer code review, provide support to QA and UAT Teams to triage and fix the defects during SIT and UAT Phases.• Post Implement Fixes: Provide support to fix the technical issues identified during and after post implementation.Duties• Developing priority defect fixes that have arisen in the client’s Superannuation IT product.• Investigate code and data issues to provide accurate and timely resolution.• Analyze and develop SQL scripts for back-end data fixes for client’s superannuation IT product.• Co-ordinate with the onsite, offshore, client and end user stakeholders to update the progress with respect to development and releases.• Ensuring quality deliverables as defined and agreed by the customers• Ensure clear, precise, and prompt communication are done with various stakeholders on issues, risks and dependency.• Adhere to customers SDLC process and participate in process improvement.• Analyze and implement areas of project improvement to benefit customer.Skills and Experience requirements:• Technical Experience in Java, Hibernate, Oracle 10g, Oracle SQL Developer, Web Services, Java Swing, JIRA, SonarQube and SOAP UI
