We are Event Management Platform Group, which provides event and campaign management features to Rakuten Ichiba is looking for forward-thinking software engineers to help power Rakuten Ichiba, Japan's largest online shopping mall, continued growth.
This is a full-time position located at Crimson House Bengaluru, Rakuten India Development Center, Bangalore - 560025, Karnataka, India.
Responsibilities
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
• Develop, design, debug, and modify source code of software applications and tools.
• Work individually and with your team to design, build, test, and deliver technology to meet business requirements
• Communicate and work efficiently with QA to solve issues and reproduce and fix bugs.
• Practice continuous improvement in the software and development process within our Agile development team.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related background
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Required Skills And Experience
• 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies, preferred Java 8+.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in the development of backend applications using Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API, ORM (e.g., JPA, Hibernate)
• Nice to have experience with Microservices, Spring Batch, Docker, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, BPM (JBPM) and Spring test, JUnit, Mockito, etc for unit testing.
• Nice to have experience with DevOps toolchains like Jira, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and SonarQube.
• Nice to have experience in integrating and working with 3rd party APIs and Modules/Libraries.
• Experience working in agile project management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinker and good problem-solver.
• Excellent team player
