Role purpose:
Job Responsibilities:
Experience of developing complex and challenging systems . Ownership – able to take responsibility, Initiative – able to offer constructive ideas and take the appropriate action, A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, Excellent attention to detail – needed when working within a complex financial domain, Drive, motivation and a strong desire for personal improvement, Good communication skills - able to collaborate with business stakeholders as well as developers, Experience of Agile development processes.
Desirable Minimum 4+ years of experience.
What you will do:
Experience Essential
• 4+ Extensive knowledge of Java EE and related technologies: Spring Framework, JHibernate, JUnit, Maven, JPA, Oracle
• Significant experience of developing RESTful web services using Apache Tomcat Firm believer in the value of agile development methodologies, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery
• Must have expert knowledge of at least one application server such as WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, etc.
• Quick to assimilate new ideas and concepts – productive from day one in the role.
• A committed team player who builds relationships across the business A practical approach to problem solving, you will show a high level of initiative
• Excellent attention to detail when under pressure, takes delivery commitments seriously
• Outstanding research skills on java based technologies
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Flair for learning new products and technologies
• Working experience with Agile methodologies, TDD, pair programming
• First-class English-language communication skills
• Java (jdk 8+) development experience and related technologies
• Experience in design/architecture of small-to-medium size technical pieces of work
• Hands on experience in design pattern, Spring, Spring Boot, ORM's like Hibernate, Kafka , AMQ, Bamboo/Jenkins
• Good to have knowledge on Docker, Kubernetes and front end technologies.
