This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Java Developer to join a veteran team whose mission is to deliver a commercial software product. The American Bureau of Shipping and its Freedom Division is not your typical large service provider or outsourcer. If you are looking for something different and want direct responsibility for a commercial product, not just a project, we want to talk to you.
What You Will Do:
• Perform Requirement analysis from the use case documents and work with SME to clarify and provide feedback as necessary.
• Design, Code, Test and Document the system.
• Assist project manager and architects to review the project plan and software design.
• Work with junior team members in understanding requirement and technology.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience
• Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
• B.E. / B. Tech qualification preferred.
• 2-6 years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Experience with full software development lifecycle required.
• Strong understanding of web and general design patterns required.
• Strong understanding of AGILE development principles is necessary.
• Core Java, Hibernate, REST, Java EE, Spring framework (Spring core, Spring security, Spring MVC), JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, CSS.
• Server Side good to have-Spring Boot, JAX-RS, Jasper, BI tool, JMS/ActiveMQ, JPA, BPM, WebSocket’s, Maven, Azure
• CI/CD – Good to have- Azure DevOps
• Database (mandatory at-least one database, must have work ex in SQL) -MySQL, Oracle
• Tools – good to have -Jenkins, Java Profiler, JIRA/Confluence
Reporting Relationships:
Will report to a senior level engineer or technical manager and has no direct reports.
Working Conditions:
The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen.
