Team Overview
This opportunity sits within Stonewain Systems (an EquiLend Company) proud creators of EquiLend Spire. Our product is a versatile securities finance platform that can be used as a full system or customized into modules, enabling us to adapt to our financial clients needs.
We are now looking for a Java developer to join our team. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with the Software Engineering team to deploy and operate our systems, help automate and streamline our operations and processes. The successful candidate will also build and maintain tools for deployment, monitor operations, troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.
Role Responsibilities
• As a global team member, analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies with the team and provide the optimum solutions
• Own success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.
• Mentoring other developers on their implementation
• Organizing review activities like design review, code review and technical document review etc.
• Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation
• Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies etc.
• Perform code & design reviews consistently.
Required Skills
• 4+ years of experience as a Java Full Stack Developer
• Design and develop Microservices systems with Java, Spring boot, Node.js, Java Script, Typescript etc.
• Strong Java skills, including knowledge in RESTful API services
• Extensive knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in development within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure etc.
• Knowledge in Docker & Kubernetes is a plus to have
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages
• Good exposure to code management and task management tools like GIT, JIRA etc
• Maintain code quality and coding standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a team
