Job Summary
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Developer Support Engineer with good programming skills. This person is responsible for enhancing and maintaining web applications for Loss Prevention team. The web portals can be a portal to perform a task by field team like Audit Portal or it can be data backed solutions for team to pick up actionable for investigation or do research for specific package. This person invests significant amount of time into enhancement and addition of new features and functionalities along with troubleshooting issues and maintenance of these portals. Apart from that the person collaborates with the Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers of the team in transforming analytical solutions to a product based solutions.
You will be required to deeply understand technology landscapes, and evaluate the use of new technologies. You will be influential within your team and work with peers and senior leaders to define and revise the tech solutions. You will consistently tackle abstract issues that span multiple functional areas and push for improvements that can scale up.
We'd love it if you bring in a deep understanding Cloud infrastructure, programming expertise, operational experience, and a desire to change the status quo. We'll support you with robust systems and a motivated team with a strong desire to improve customer experience. We're looking for an engineer who can analyse and help improve our operations, monitoring and processes to get us to an even higher level of availability, scalability, and reliability.
Some Of The Key Job Functions Are
• Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in java, web technologies
• Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services
• Software development and deployment support in production environments
• Develop tools to aid loss prevention team operations and maintenance
• System and Support status reporting
• Ownership of one or more tech products or components .
Basic Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BE with computer science or similar background
• 2+ years of development or technical support experience preferably in Java
• 2+ years of experience with root cause and correction of code related bugs, error and other issues
• Familiar with database concepts and SQL
Understanding of development life cycle from design, build, test and deploy
Preferred Qualification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• In-depth understanding of AWS technologies
• Experience in developing web applications
