Role Description
Deutsche Bank has an ambitious plan to simplify the Lending processing from the front office to the back office and all points between. We are seeking a lead software development lead with a strong server-side background to lead a team based in India to help us reach this goal.
The Loans Technology team manage and develop a variety of global applications that provide features that span trade capture and position keeping and support functions including trade confirmation and settlement as well as market and credit risk. The applications have users in all major trading venues include Trading and Sales as well as credit and market risk.
The technology team is currently located in Cary, London and New York and we want to build a team in India. The successful candidate will lead a team of developers in India.
The candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile framework managing sprint grooming and planning and have broad experience in building Java/SQL applications.
Knowledge of commercial lending as an asset class or of another fixed income trading asset class would be advantageous.

Your key responsibilities
• Drive and own the architectural design process for new solutions.
• Leverage frameworks and components to develop service orientated solutions.
• Coordinate the system integration testing including testing strategy.
• Support user acceptance testing, application rollouts, user training and root cause analysis.
• Technical direction during the full lifecycle of each project.
• Concise reporting of impediments to progress of technical solutions.
• Manage the development and growth of junior team members.
Specific Responsibilities:
The below is in priority order and all are shared responsibilities with the Cary team.
• Deliver transactional data into the risk and P&L process via development in the applications and services of LEM, Modal and ELMS.
• Provide L3 support in London hours for LEM, Modal and ELMS.
• Develop features to the secondary trading application Lola.
• Develop features for the DPG applications.
• Maintain technical roadmap compliance for all Loans apps.
• Manage the performance of the India team members according to total performance indicators ensuring alignment to the banks defined key deliverables and objectives.
Your skills and experience
• Proven track record leading and managing development teams.
• Strong experience in server-side JVM operated applications.
• Agile engineering using Scrum, test driven development and continuous integration and deployment.
• Service oriented designs including RESTful webservices.
• Relational database modelling and SQL (Oracle).
• Strong Business Analysis and System Development experience within a financial institution.
• Build configuration systems e.g. Maven, Ant, Git, BitBucket, TeamCity.
• Object Relational Mapping (e.g. Hibernate).
• IoC frameworks e.g. Spring (Java).
• Motivated, delivery focused and a team player.
• Advanced degree level or equivalent.

Qualification - Bachelor's or higher
