Job Title- Associate, Java Engineer
Location- Pune
Role Description
The Java Engineer designs and implements technical solutions and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems. With the partial/ full ownership of Production platforms, Engineer is required to ensure environment stability, expeditious and timely resolution of Production issues, ensuring minimal downtimes and continuity of services. Further the Engineer investigates, proposes and implements various solutions, standardizing where possible, to ensures stability and reliability of the application platforms. The person performing the role may lead delivery of other members of the team and controls their work where applicable.

Your key responsibilities
• Works on all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Develops, codes, tests, and debugs software and applications using Java.
• Designs features and makes improvements based on user experience data.
• Completes unit testing to identify and fix programming errors.
• Uses common testing and software documentation tools.
• Writes software documentation guides.
• Collaborates with other members of the software development team.
Your skills and experience
• Knows core Java skills and is familiar with Java build tools, EE components, testing tools, application containers, and markup languages.
• Extensive demonstrated hands on experience using Java and experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications and database experience (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• 5+ years of proven experience with Java and focus on low latency programming, mult-threading, collections, concurrency & optimization
• Solid understanding of design patterns
• Working knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, Web 2.0 and a solid grasp of common UI design patterns and solid understanding of Object Oriented Principles
• Extensive Web Service (REST), JUnit (or Selenium) experience
• Practical experience with Build Tools (preferably Maven), Source Code Control (preferably Git), Continuous Integration (Hudson, Jenkins or TeamCity) and Cloud/ Docker based application deployment. Kafka, Spark, Elastic and Kibana working expertise. Professional GWT/GXT, Angular/React experience. TDD experience. Data modeling experience. Digitization experience: OCR, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics
• Proficient in Agile Development and understanding/knowledge of JIRA
• Ability to produce well-tested, documented, high-performance code to tight schedules.
