JAVA Fullstack Engineer/Senior Software Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Software Engineer In this role, you will: Responsible for hands-on design, build and delivery of new as well as management of Digital and Data technology services. Responsible for adoption of Industry standard best practices Responsible for the delivery and rollout of strategic Digital and Data Technology platform globally, in line with the roadmap agreed with the business. Build excellent relationships with Product, Product Delivery and Operations teams to help create a “one team” approach to planning and delivery. Identifies and removes barriers to success. Always acts in the HSBC’s best interests and willing to openly discuss potentially difficult topics. Promotes and takes accountability for quality; identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions Promotes a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Strong hands-on expertise in Java, springboot, API Working experience on basic UI technologies like REACT, NodeJs would be an added advantage. Strong hand-on expertise in microservices architecture Strong implementation knowledge of industry standard design patterns Working experience in SQL Ability to independently design and build complex solutions. Hands experience of DevOps tooling (e.g Jenkins, Git, Ansible). Hands experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL would be an added advantage.
