We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will:
• Function as a junior application developer in MSSOT US Post Trade Technology team and work closely with the functional and regional teams in the USA and India.
• Develop backend features based on design provided by senior members in the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency of existing processes. Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization in the cloud.
• Implement adequate monitoring & alerting policies on the system making operational tasks less onerous.
• Develop innovative technology solutions for Market Operations team and Repo trading desk; Ensuring technology systems are reliable to handle wide user base within the organization and sustainable with a cost focus.
• Adopt Agile and DevOps methodologies in software development practices. Ensure automation tools are utilized throughout the life cycle.
• Required to handle out-of-hours Releases, Changes, and other infrastructure maintenance activities, Required to provide support for Fixed Income and Equities Post Trade systems as business demands dictate in the region
• Perform periodic infrastructure upgrades, patches, addressing any security vulnerabilities, managing capacity and disaster recovery procedures. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
• Relational databases – PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and experience with advanced SQL.
• Experience in one of the distributed data warehouses – BigQuery or Redshift or Snowflake.
• Experience with data modelling for data warehouse.
• Object orientated programming concepts and experience in Java or Python or Scala.
• Developing ETL or ELT layers and data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with a streaming service like Kafta, Pub/Sub, etc.
• Proficiency with workflow orchestration concepts.
• Experience migrating applications to the cloud.
• Understanding and working knowledge of distributed architecture systems based on microservices Vendor Technologies: Exposure to Broadridge systems such as Impact and BPS/A – understanding of database and table relationships to produce various reports / dashboards for the various stakeholders. Essential Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an Investment Banking IT Environment. Working experience on Broadridge Impact, FINPRO and BPS applications including running queries on their database.
• Organization and operational optimization and change management experience
• Understanding of investment bank front and back office process flows, including those from upstream and downstream systems
• Understanding of investment bank exposure to SOX and other regulatory controls.
• Change Management & Incident Management Experience
• Understanding of ITIL Fundamentals and Methodology
• Education to degree level
