Java Software Engineer |4| Years

Job Purpose: The job purpose of a java developer is to design, develop, and maintain Java-based software and

applications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 Write clear, understandable, testable, and maintainable code using Java, in a major framework like

Springboot.

 Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from concept designing to developing and

testing.

 Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to design and implement new features.

 Identify and debug technical issues throughout the software lifecycle; Ensure application performance.

 Support continuous improvement and investigate alternatives and new technologies.

 Keep up-to-date with the latest innovations and best practices on Java.

Required Qualifications

Education:

 Any technical graduation in the Information Technology (IT) domain

 Technical certifications are a plus

Experience:

 A minimum of four years’ experience working with Java-based applications in a full-stack role

 Must have worked as part of a large team; bonus for having mentoring experience

 Background in the insurance industry is preferable

 Experience with Cloud services is mandatory – preferably in AWS

Demonstrate the following skills:

 Java Spring Boot

 Hibernate

 Spring MVC

 Spring Web Flow

 HTML5

 jQuery

 AWS exposure

 Full-stack development technologies

 Business standard communication; both written and oral
