About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled and self-driven engineers to develop and enable new payment methods and features for Client Server SDKs. You will play a pivotal role in designing and building the next generation of developer experience.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver features for Client Server SDKs
Maintain and contribute to open source projects
Evangelize and engage with external developers
Requirements:
Experience building web applications and services
Willingness to work in various programming languages (Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.)
Experience in developer-facing products (e.g., SDKs, REST APIs, GraphQL) or products enabling third-party application development
Passion for open source and improving developer experiences
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of talented engineers
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies
About Our Projects:
We contribute to open-source projects through public GitHub repositories
We build and support SDKs for merchant payment acceptance on websites and mobile apps
We launch innovative payment methods through our SDKs
We create user-friendly developer tools supplementing our SDKs and Integrations
We focus on enhancing developer experiences through community engagement, tutorials, blogs, and conferences
We dedicate time for open dev days, exploring projects that expand our skills and knowledge
Day-to-Day Activities:
Building and maintaining Server SDKs
Partnering with cross-functional teams like Venmo in design and product
Providing code feedback and contributing to architecture discussions
Engaging with internal and external developers to understand developer pain points and improve experiences
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role is $60.00-$80.00/hr, with final offer amounts determined by relevant skills, education, experience, and benefits package selection.
