Job Description
Responsibilities
1. STRONG Concepts of CORE JAVA – JAVA SE 1.7,1.8, latest
a. Must have knowledge and concepts of:
i. Multi-threading, Concurrency Control, Parallelism, Synchronization
ii. Good knowledge of Java 1.7 and 1.8 (preferably 1.8) COLLECTIONS framework, JAVA IO and NIO (Good to have)
iii. Good -to-have: Knowledge of behavioral programming (Predicate, Consumer etc.)
iv. Must-have sound knowledge of Exception handling and Logging Framework (E.g., Log4j)
2. Web, JAVA EE and Frameworks- Any contemporary version should be fine.
a. Servlet 3.0 + JSP
b. Must be comfortable with Eclipse family of IDEs
c. Must be comfortable with Creating, Deploying WAR files i.e. Also, importing existing WAR files and continue working with/ extending functionality of its codebase
d. Application servers: Should be comfortable with JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic i.e WebSphere etc. – Good-to-have and NOT Mandatory LSRPL HR Version 1.0 Page 2 of 2 JAN 2020
e. MVC Architecture , Front Controller pattern
f. Spring 4.x or above, Spring Boot, JPA (Hibernate)
g. JMS – ActiveMQ etc. - P2P, Pub-Sub
h. Transaction handling
i. Creating and consuming WebservicesˇJAX-RS, JAX-WS, Spring BOOT
j. JDBC- with MySQL, Oracle, DB2, ORM - JPA (Hibernate)
3. Web / Browser Technologies –
a. Basic, working knowledge of Mark-up (HTML 5/CSS3)
b. AJA pattern (E.g., AJAX)
c. Good to have knowledge of: Reverse Ajax/COMET/ Web socket
Experience Required (Minimum relevant or equivalent industry experience required - scope and duration) 5 years – 6 years Academia BE/BTech, MCA, ME/MTech
Skills, Abilities, And Competencies (Required to successfully perform this job)
Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle Writing well designed, testable, efficient code. Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications Prepare and produce releases of software components Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. Candidate must be, however, not constrained to versions and must be willing to adapt herself/himself according to need of projects/ecosystem
