As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Work on range of technologies, do L3 support and DevOps effort as part of the team deliverables
Delivery of software components on time, based on agreed scope & requirements. Designing a saleable software and producing saleable and resilient technical design
Capture user stories and design new module / functionality to meet business needs
Collaborate with quantitative research groups. Implement deal booking process
Created Automated Unit Testing using Flexible / Open Source Frameworks using a Test Driven Development approach.
Implement the software using available frameworks or on-boarding best-in-class technologies. Implement unit and integration tests
Deliver easily maintainable, applications in the face of changing requirements. Provide Level 3 support
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong Python knowledge
Good understanding of Typesafe / React.js technologies. Understanding of software design principles
Understanding of data modelling using Relational, Object and NoSQL databases. Test Driven Development experience
Understanding of Continuous Integration tools
SQL. Familiarity with build and SCM tools ( Maven, Jenkins, Git/SVN)
Unix/Linux, XML / Google ProtoBuf / Json
Experience with messaging (MQ) and web services
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Java
Financial product knowledge in Credit, Rates or Equity derivatives
Experience in Quartz or SecDB
