As a Software Engineer III in Securities Services Technology in Corporate & Investment Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Newton is an in-house developed Workflow Management Tool that defines, creates and executes complex workflows best suited to a repeatable process-driven environment. It helps orchestrate process flows and hand-offs across operation staff and processing systems, through a powerful dynamic workflow engine. It is used primarily as part of fund services business, within Investor Services.
Job responsibilities:
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Code, test and implement high quality Java program for a highly complex enterprise application system, running complex workflow engine and rich GUI, working as part of global Agile team.
Need to propose/follow right design for code /programs, working closely with business and service delivery team to ensure delivered code is in line with business requirements
Co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders including tech, O ps, business, BA partners , QA
Ensure that design and implementation works against high-volume data sources
Establish/follow standards, guidelines, and best practices around reference data, master data, metadata and operational data management including modeling
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
Core Java / J2EE ,JBPM , Spring, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud Gateway, Eureka, Hibernate, Spring scheduler, Quartz, Feign or similar ORM framework.
HTML/JavaScript preferably with exposure to some JavaScript framework such as Angular JS. Strong Database skills preferably with Oracle
Knowledge of Kafka and JMS and related middleware products such as IBM MQ Series will be plus . Experience in tools like Kibana/Splunk
Strong design skills
Good communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience on ETL framework such as Pentaho will be nice to have
Unix scripting, Maven, JPA will be plus
