Project Description:
• Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities:
• Individual contributor and ability to demonstrate advanced software coding skills, a solid grasp of software architecture, and object-oriented design concepts and design patterns.
• The successful candidate will drive the implementation and experimentation of new solution/application initiatives. Looking for one who loves clean code and test-driven development (TDD).
• End-to-end development of highly available REST API, streaming, and batch applications using Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch, etc Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• Should have ++ years of extensive experience in Java.
• Experience in multi-tiered and distributed applications and service architectures
• Good experience building RESTFUL web services and understanding of the REST architecture constraints
• Working experience in building Kafka-based streaming pipelines, MongoDB and OpenShift
• Working experiences in CI/CD
• Build tools - Gradle/Maven
• Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins
• Source Control - Bit Bucket /GitHub
• Good experience building RESTFUL web services and understanding of the REST architecture constraints
• Go-getter attitude, self-driven, self-motivated, and passionate about building and writing good clean code
• Good communications skills, with crisp and concise communication and the ability to articulate technical topics with ease
• Proven ability to work well in a challenging environment with multiple job streams and with the ability to prioritize and multitask whilst delivering high-quality solutions
• Effective end-to-end execution of development & release phases
• Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design artifacts
Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources
• Self-starter who can drive and facilitate requirements and development effort
• Review the design of existing applications and provide recommendations to increase the system's robustness/scalability/performance/maintainability
• Participate in code review activities and ensure quality standards are met.
