Job Position - Head of IT
Reporting to MD JPL/ Group CDO
Department - IT
Section, Area and Function - IT Operations and Digital Projects
Grade (Designation Range) - GM to AVP
Desired Qualification - Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other related engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience 20+ Years of Experience in IT and at least 5+ years in a HoD role handling IT/ Digital operation of large Manufacturing Enterprise
Relevant Industry - Type Exposure IT arm of a manufacturing Firm / IT Services organization
• Knowledge and Skills and Attitude SAP Functional or SAP Technical Knowledge
• Digital Solutions, IT-OT Integration
• IT Infrastructure and Operations
• IT Security
• Program Management and Delivery
• Machine & Tools used (Any special technical Skill) OS: Linux, Unix/CentOS, Suse Linux, Windows
• Database: Mysql, Sql Server, Oracle, HANA (Data connectors, APIs and Data lake concepts)
• ERP: SAP S/4 HANA on Rise Cloud
• Web technologies: Apache Tomcat, IIS, HTML, XML
• Cloud Services of Google GCP or MS Azure
• Visualization tool like Power BI, Qlik Sense
• Digital applications: Should have experience in Logistics Control Tower Automation, Supplier Management System (SRM), Supply Chain Management System (SCM). Should have exposure on HR, Finance, Quality, Procurement Functional workflow and automation.
• Key Deliverables of the Position ( 2 to 4) The position assumes the role of Head of IT, responsible for running IT operations across all locations of JPL and handling operations related escalations. Responsibility also includes delivery of new IT & Digital projects and standardization of user experience related to IT apps/ solutions. This includes On-Prem and Cloud hosted infra and applications. Need to implement Information security & cyber security best practices.
• Span of Control ( Roles reporting to the position) The position assumes the role of Head of IT looking after existing operations and new projects. He/ She needs to run the IT operations across 5-6 different locational IT teams having a total team size of 20-30 people.
• Coordinate with Locational IT teams and centralized IT Centre of excellences (e.g., CISO function, Application development team, SAP Functional and non-SAP Application development team and Digital solutions team)
Roles & Responsibilities / Duties To Be Performed
• Handling IT operations and IT service management for large manufacturing organization involving distributed IT infrastructure, deploy enterprise application, security operations and operationalize new digital interventions.
• Identify and provide Digital solutions to key business challenges and drive tangible business value (volume or cost gains) Or increase productivity Or improve ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) and Safety practices
• Work with business and technology teams (Internal development team, Business users and external partners) to outline digital solution and implementation plan
• Qualify, prioritize critical KPIs / metrics that shall reflect gains due to digital intervention
• Experience in Data center, Server and in-house application management, SAP application & technical landscape, Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, P2P, ILL, SD WAN etc.), Network & Firewall Security operations, End point computing devices, IDAM (Active Directory/ Google cloud identity), MDM/ MAM, Conference & collaboration systems, DR (Disaster recovery), Backup and storage solution and Cloud hosted application and infra operations etc.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA on Rise Cloud, DWC/ SAC, GRC, Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors and other modules from
the technology, deployment, and maintenance aspect. Any functional knowledge on any of the SAP modules will be
added advantage.
• Experience on cloud platforms and cloud services in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud (GCP), Google Suite/
workspace of applications.
• Implements, upholds, and updates the infrastructure roadmap. Develops target IT landscape (applications,
infrastructure, data) and establishes standards for regional and enterprise applications including IT/OT convergence.
• ITSM, ITIL certification preferred. Bring in ideas to automate IT processes and operations
