About the Job:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented JIRA Admin/Developer with a strong foundation in Groovy (Java, Microservices, Linux) and experience with Java, Microservices, and Linux. As an onsite role based at one of our offices, you will play a pivotal role in managing, customizing, and developing JIRA solutions that facilitate seamless collaboration and workflow optimization across the organization. This is an entry-level role offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment with industry experts and cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, configure, and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, notification schemes, and custom fields.
• Develop and implement custom JIRA plugins and scripts using Groovy to enhance JIRA functionality.
• Manage JIRA integrations with other tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions that improve team productivity.
• Design and develop microservices-based solutions for JIRA-related tasks.
• Ensure JIRA is optimized for scalability, performance, and security.
• Leverage Groovy and Java to automate JIRA workflows and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve JIRA application issues and provide support to end-users.
• Maintain documentation for JIRA configurations, workflows, and custom scripts.
• Apply Linux system administration principles to monitor and maintain JIRA server health.
• Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to internal teams on JIRA best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest JIRA features, plugins, and industry trends.
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of Groovy programming language and its application in JIRA.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Microservices architecture.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Familiarity with JIRA REST APIs and integration methodologies.
• Ability to develop custom scripts and plugins for JIRA using Groovy.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices to align JIRA workflows with organizational goals.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in JIRA.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Certifications in JIRA Administration or related tools will be an added advantage.
