What You’ll Be Doing:
Evolent Health is looking for a Software Developer who will be responsible for building and maintaining healthcare software solutions while working and collaborating with our cross-functional teams in Arlington, Chicago and India. This individual will play a critical role in executing Evolent Health’s mission by architecting, developing and maintaining technical processes around the Java platform assets to ensure success in terms of both revenue and timely release of current and next generation products and capabilities.
Essential functions:
Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance.
Ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables.
Works with Business Analysts/Product owner and/or internal customers to ensure that requirements are understood.
Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans.
Production of efficient and fully documented code.
Production of supporting technical and installation documentation for internal and external publication.
Achievement of agreed productivity targets in order to ensure developments are delivered within budget, to schedule and to defined quality standards.
Completion of all necessary software and non-software components in the timeline
Skill Set Requirements:
Sound knowledge of OOPs concepts with experience in following:REST APIJava and JEE internalsJavascript, JQuery, HTML and CSSWeb servers like JBoss, Tomcat or similarSpring frameworkSQL and NoSQL
Excellent learning abilities
Good team player
Good verbal & written communication skills
Qualification and Experience:
Four years Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
4-7 yrs of technical experience working software applications.
Big plus
Healthcare IT experience
Experience with big data
Mandatory Requirements:
Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-1+. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
