Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman level Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to diesel generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, and load bank testing. This is a remote Alaska role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work by your self for extended periods of time.
Duties:
- Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, and Diesel Fire Suppressions Pumps
- Utilizing power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to perform tasks
- Reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Troubleshooting electrical systems and components
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Heavy lifting may be required for certain tasks
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working with power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of Generator maintenance and repair procedures
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
