Position Description
As a Journeyman Millwright you will install, align, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment.
You will be covering both DC1 and DC2 for morning shift, (7:00pm – 3:30pm, Monday - Friday Shift)
Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand/power tools and welding equipment
Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
Complete Work Orders according to PM schedules
Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Key Responsibilities
Required Education & Qualifications
Ticketed in the Millwright Trade
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (An Asset)
Electrical Experience (Asset)
Prima equipment experience (Asset)
Design Experience (Asset)
Proven track record working with Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)
Above average problem-solving skills
