About Us: Scorpion Custom Finishing is a reputable new construction painting company dedicated to delivering high-quality residential painting services. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in interior and exterior painting, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. This role involves working on residential projects, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, scraping, priming, and cleaning). Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Perform interior and exterior painting for residential properties, including walls, trim, doors, and other surfaces. Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met. Assist with minor repairs or prep work as needed (e.g., patching drywall, caulking). Qualifications: Proven experience as a residential painter (1-3 years preferred). Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools (e.g., brushes, rollers, sprayers). Familiarity with surface preparation and application methods for various finishes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Basic knowledge of safety practices and PPE (personal protective equipment). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with specialty finishes (e.g., faux finishes, textures). Ability to read blueprints or project specifications. Certification or training in painting or related field is a plus. What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
