POSITION SUMMARY:

You will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

We offer a $3/HOUR COMPLETION BONUS FOR PIPE CREW starting on April 27, 2026. Actively employed employees in good standing will receive this additional compensation for each hour worked, excluding holiday pay and PTO. However, those who voluntarily resign or are terminated for cause before payout will forfeit the bonus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
• Select the appropriate type and size of pipe and related materials based on job specifications.
• Inspect job sites for obstructions to ensure structural integrity.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid conflicts with other construction activities.
• Utilize various tools to cut and thread pipe.
• Assemble and install metal and nonmetal pipes and fittings including brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic.
• Join pipes using various methods including threaded, caulked, soldered, and cemented joints.
• Secure pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
• Conduct leak testing on piping systems.
• Weld fixtures as needed to structural steel members.
• Travel to various job sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4+ years of related experience or a combination of education and training.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Applicable Pipefitter training and certification from NCCER, NCCCO, or other approved bodies (preferred).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledgeable about MIC Health and Safety programs and regulations.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings with crew and subcontractors.
• Be a role model for safe behavior.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operational, and procedural documents.
• Mathematical proficiency for calculations related to weight measurements and volume.
• Follow instructions accurately from written or verbal sources.
• Maintain professional relationships with team members and supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in varied environmental conditions.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights, complying with all safety requirements.

HOURS:

This is a Full-Time position, typically requiring 50 hours of work per week, subject to project demands.

TRAVEL:

Expect up to 90% travel as this role requires presence at various project sites.
