Concorde Airport Services – Journeyman Plumber
Purpose and Objective:

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
As part of the Concorde Airport Services maintenance team at the Calgary International Airport. Reporting to the Mechanical Coordinator, your specific responsibilities and duties will include the following:
· Install, maintain, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems including domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures, water and wastewater distribution systems in a large facility, Calgary International Airport.
· Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
· Measure, cut, solder, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools, and drain augers machines.
· Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
· Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
· Communicate work status with other plumbers and journeymen on staff to promote safety and actively participate in a teamwork environment.
· Required to understand, comply, and contribute to the policies and procedures including the health and safety policies of Concorde and the Calgary Airport Authority.
· Ensure compliance with any and all applicable government regulations.
· Follow established protection safety procedures.
· Deal directly with the client requiring a courteous attitude, good communication and troubleshooting skills.
· Be available for occasional overtime requirements as required.
· Mentor Apprentice Plumbers.
· Perform any other duties as may be required.
Minimum Requirements to Maintain Position
· Must be in possession of a valid Alberta Journeyman Certificate as a Plumber or Red Seal Certification.
· Valid Alberta Class 5 Driving License.
· Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance (RAIC-Restricted Area Identity Card) and AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit).
· Must be able to pass all job required training.

· Must be physically fit, able to handle heavy load up to 50 lbs., a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.
· Experience working as a Plumber in a large commercial / industrial facility is considered an asset.
