Junior Associate, Finance
Business Unit: Affinity | Target Market: India | Work Location: Mumbai
Type of Role: Individual Contributor.
Affinity is looking for an individual who has up to 3 years of experience closely working on the Indirect Tax which includes subject matter experts on GST, TDS, Audit and Compliance.
The Role:
Maintaining Books of accounts
Working with internal business partners to define, implement, review and improve quality control, including identification of internal risks and solutions to mitigate them.
Providing audit support and data analysis review processes.
Providing support and advice to Tax colleagues as well as the Business and Accounting teams. Oversee the end-to-end litigation processes in relation to indirect taxes
Good analytical skills (i.e., ability to decipher problems and growth areas from reports
Expense management.
Coordinate and manage the use of external advisors and counsel to support filing of responses/ submission of information to tax authorities
Preparation and Analysis of Debtors & Creditors ageing.
Maintaining vendor’s bills, verifications and payments
Handling statutory matters like TDS, GST etc. and returns thereof
Preparation of Bank & Cash reconciliation statements.
Maintaining cordial relationship with banks, financial institutions, professional consultants, and clients
Interacting with statutory and internal auditors as per requirement
What you’ll need to be successful:
Excellent Knowledge of MS-Office.
People with Attention to detail & deep knowledge
Data driven and individuals with high level of ownership
Strategic solution-based problem-solving skills
Good Communication Skills
Proficient in usage of entire MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
Persistence to follow up
Very strong English communication skills – written and spoken. This is a must, and there’s zero tolerance to poor communication.
