About The Role
As an experienced Jr. QA Engineer at Zysk Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. You'll be working on diverse and exciting projects, predominantly built using open-source frameworks such as Nest.js, Python Django, PHP Laravel, React.js, and Vue.js. This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who has a strong passion for software testing, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is eager to contribute to the development of high-quality web and mobile experiences. What you will do
• Review and analyze system specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective test strategies and plans.
• Execute manual test cases and analyze results to identify, log, and track bugs and errors.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Work closely with developers to provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
• Create and maintain clear, concise, and well-structured test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and usability testing, utilizing testing methodologies such as black-box, grey-box, and white-box testing.
• Utilize testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, Selenium, Postman, and BrowserStack for test case management, defect tracking, and test execution.
• Perform API testing, cross-browser testing, and cross-platform testing on web and mobile applications.
• Monitor and report on test execution progress and defect status, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
What you will need
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong focus on manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test case management tools and defect tracking systems, such as Jira and TestRail.
• Solid experience in API testing, cross-browser testing, and cross-platform testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and experience working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement.
