Role title: Revenue Officer

Role type: Permanent Full-Time

Role grade: Administration Officer, Level 3, Year1-2

Department and location: Finance Dept, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst

Salary: $68,338.78 -$70,468.73+ super+ salary packaging

About the role

Administrative Support: Coordinate vital administrative support for our billing team, ensuring efficient daily operations and high service standards.

Billing & Claims: Assist with billing patient accounts to Medicare, Health Funds, and self-insured patients including follow up and reviewing rejections.

Collaboration & Follow-Up: Work closely with treating doctors, Debt Recovery, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely processing of claims and payments.

Organizational Skills: Efficiently scan, store, and manage patient and health fund documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Skills & Support: Use your expertise in Microsoft Office, along with excellent communication skills, to assist the Revenue Manager with reports and any ad-hoc tasks.

Great Communicator: You’ve got strong written and verbal communication skills, and you know how to connect with people in a professional and friendly way.

Proactive & Customer-Focused: You take initiative, solve problems before they arise, and always aim to deliver a positive experience.

Team Player with Independence: You thrive in a team but can also manage tasks on your own and stay on track without constant supervision.

Tech-Savvy: You’re confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems, and you pick up new tools quickly.

Health Admin Know-How (a bonus!): Experience in health administration or billing is a plus—but if you’re keen to learn, we’ll support you all the way.
