Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 0-3 years of experience in the construction industry to assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting, along with proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain day-to-day accounting records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Assist in GST, TDS, and other tax filings, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Prepare bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and petty cash management.
Support in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and cost control.
Maintain invoice records, purchase orders, and payment vouchers.
Assist in audits and financial reporting as per company policies.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and clients for financial documentation.
Ensure accuracy in MIS reporting, payroll processing, and expense tracking.
Utilize accounting software (Tally, ERP, or similar) and MS Excel for financial management.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in Tally, ERP software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Understanding of construction industry accounting, project cost tracking, and invoicing.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
Certification in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation is an advantage.
Experience in handling construction project accounts is preferred.
