Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain journal and account entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Process invoices, bills, expense reports, and payments, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by gathering financial data and analyzing trends.
Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance documentation.
Provide support to senior accountants or accounting managers, including workload distribution and quality review of peers’ work.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions.
Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and inventory tracking.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Optional certifications such as CPA or ACCA can be advantageous
