Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team at Evergreen Tea Group. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the tea industry. The Junior Accountant will assist in managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Proficiency in Tally and Excel is a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Record and manage daily sales, purchases, and other financial transactions.
· Update stock records and assist with inventory management.
· Perform basic bank reconciliation tasks.
· Assist in verifying invoices and coordinating with suppliers for billing and payments.
· Accurately enter financial transactions in Tally or other accounting software.
· Prepare and manage reports using Excel, including formulas and data analysis for accounting purposes.
· Handle petty cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.
· Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
· Assist in GST and TDS calculations and filings.
· Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
· Experience: 1-2 years in accounting (tea industry experience preferred).
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally and Excel is mandatory.
· Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· High level of integrity and commitment to ethical accounting practices.
