Junior Accounting Clerk
The Junior Accounting Clerk role at McLeod Law is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take on new challenges and develop their career. Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the accounting team in our Bannister Office, you will cover a variety of responsibilities including daily receipts and WIP administration. This role is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage daily receipts and deposits, including cheques, credit cards and etransfers
• Conduct weekly petty cash reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records
• Oversee central billings, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
• Administration of work in progress (WIP), including trust management
• Handle WIP administration and trust, for departed lawyers
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department
• Act as a back -up for billings and general cheques
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-secondary education preferably in accounting and/or finance
• 1 year of accounting experience
• Power BI experience an asset
• 3E Elite Accounting system experience an asset
• Exceptional use of MS Office software, particularly advanced in Excel
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with vendors and lawyers
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive and positive attitude
• Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
