Job Description
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Architect / Designer to support our architecture and design team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of design projects—ranging from residential and commercial architecture to interior spaces, exhibitions, retail environments, or institutional developments.
The Junior Architect / Designer will assist in preparing drawings, 3D models, material specifications, and presentations while learning directly under senior architects and project leads. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in concept development, technical documentation, and real-world project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:1. Design Development
• Assist in conceptualizing architectural and interior design ideas under the guidance of senior designers.
• Support design explorations by creating sketches, 3D visualizations, material mood boards, and layout proposals.
• Translate conceptual ideas into working models and presentations for internal reviews or client pitches.
• Participate in design discussions, brainstorming sessions, and team critiques.
2. Drafting and Technical Drawings
• Prepare 2D architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Contribute to construction drawing packages, detailing furniture layouts, lighting plans, and material specifications.
• Work on drawings for municipal approvals, RERA documentation, or authority submissions as per project type.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, measurement sheets, and presentation sheets for coordination with consultants and contractors.
3. 3D Visualization and Presentation
• Develop basic 3D massing models, renders, or walkthroughs using SketchUp, Lumion, or similar software.
• Prepare high-quality presentation materials for internal and client reviews.
• Update material palettes, sample boards, and digital libraries.
• Create visually appealing design boards and diagrams using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator.
4. Site Coordination and Documentation
• Visit project sites during various stages (preliminary, execution, handover) to assist with site surveys and supervision.
• Prepare site reports, minutes of meetings, or photo documentation during site visits.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for sampling, material approvals, and on-site implementation.
• Verify that drawings are being implemented as per design intent on-site and report any deviations.
5. Research and Innovation
• Stay updated on current trends in architecture, interior design, materials, and sustainable practices.
• Research new technologies, products, and systems for inclusion in designs.
• Maintain internal project archives and reference material libraries (physical and digital).
