Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. This entry-level role is designed for a highly organized individual looking to build a career in purchasing. In this role, you will ensure seamless inventory flow by managing supplier relations, purchase orders, and critical cost analysis to guarantee we have the right products at the right price. As we scale, you will help refine our product assortment and buying strategies to maintain our competitive edge. Your work will directly drive sales growth, margin health, and company-wide inventory optimization.

Key Responsibilities
● Order Management: Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders, managing pricing updates, and coordinating inventory replenishment.
● Inventory & Forecasting: Monitor stock levels and support forecasting efforts to ensure adequate product availability for our customers.
● Supplier Liaison: Communicate directly with suppliers to confirm order details, lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules.
● Conflict Resolution: Proactively assist in resolving order discrepancies, managing backorders, and troubleshooting delivery issues.
● Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records of purchasing data, supplier information, and detailed product specifications.
● Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse and internal teams regarding inbound shipments, immediate product needs.
● Reporting & Admin: Support cost analysis projects, track vendor performance, and perform general administrative tasks related to procurement.

Qualifications
● Experience: 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, inventory coordination, or a similar role is preferred.
● Industry Knowledge: Experience in a warehouse or wholesale distribution environment is considered a strong asset.
● Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Exceland the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
● Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
● Aptitude: Detail-oriented with a strong numerical aptitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
