Job Description for the role of Junior Content Writer
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Journalism / Mass Communication / Literature (English) 1-2 years’ experience in relevant field.
Freshers with a proven track record or relevant internship experience are also welcome to apply
Candidates should be based out of Bangalore and be able to join work immediately
Research ideas and facts pertinent to the type of content / topic assigned
Develop ideas derived from online / offline research and organise the same into actionable milestones
Write plagiarism free content based on research and brainstorming by following instructions provided for each type of document
Develop engaging content for articles, blogs, stories, and social media to entice the audience
Proofread content for errors or additions and ensure that content is written as per instructions
Ensure that web page content is edited properly to increase on-screen readability
Think up titles for each piece of content keeping appropriateness and SEO best practices in check
Develop concept notes or storyboards for individual campaigns
Rewrite, paraphrase, or write content from scratch depending on specific instructions provided in the work order
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or GIF's) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (Design,servicing etc.)
Requirement
Fluency in English
Ability to write original, error-free content on a wide range of topics
Excellent researching, writing, editing (photo/text), presentation and communication skills
Adequate knowledge of content marketing best practices
Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
Demonstrable social networking experience and knowledge with analytics tools will be a plus
