Job Description
Responsibilities of Junior Designer:
§ Develop concepts or creative ideas for craft products per the producer company's requirement.
§ Facilitate production of the craft products
§ Provide Marketing Support to the craft producer companies by connecting the latest designs with the market needs
§ Set specifications for materials, dimensions, and finishes develop designs using specialised computer software and create prototypes or samples of products to be crafted.
§ Fabricate patterns or templates to guide craft production.
§ Provide Social Media Management support to promote products being produced by the producer company
§ Providing training and design development support to the promoted Producer Companies
§ Coordination with various stakeholders – artisans, producer company staff and market stakeholders
§ Providing administration support in reporting the craft projects
§ Support in operations of the design studio
§ Responsible for on-field demonstration of best practices in the Cluster
§ Any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager
Qualifications Required
§ Candidates with bachelors/post-graduation in Fashion, Craft and Design from an institute of good repute
§ Candidates with good product designs and a robust portfolio in fashion and home decor would be preferred
§ Candidates well versed in fashion and textile design studies
Experience
§ Candidates with at least 0-2 years of experience working in the craft sector
§ Candidates with good communication and design skills
§ Candidates with experience in working with rural communities will be preferred
§ Should be able to speak and write in Hindi and English
The position will be based out of the HO in Delhi, with travel across project locations in rural India as per requirement. The salary is commensurable with current salary, experience and industry standards.
