Studio Jackson Design is seeking a highly motivated Junior Designer / Assistant to join our award-winning interior design studio. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with the Principal at an internationally published firm recognized for both interior design and furniture collections.
Our work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Veranda, Galerie, ELLE Decoration China, LUXE, AD Middle East, and other leading global design publications. We are a small, collaborative studio where every team member plays a meaningful role and contributes across all aspects of the firm’s work.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable wearing many hats.
This is an in-person position in our Hollywood studio. Remote work will not be considered.
Position Overview
The Junior Designer / Assistant will support the studio through a combination of design assistance, general office administration, and personal/professional assistant responsibilities for the Principal. The role requires discretion, flexibility, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Assist with various phases of the interior design process
Provide general administrative support for the studio
Support the Principal with both professional and personal assistant tasks
Manage the Principal’s schedule, including business and personal commitments
Book and coordinate travel arrangements
Assist with day-to-day studio operations
Support projects related to the firm’s award-winning furniture collections
Collaborate with the team across all aspects of the firm’s work
Light travel may be required
Qualifications
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced studio environment
PC-based proficiency required
Microsoft Word / Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
QuickBooks experience is a plus, but not required
Reliable car required
Interest in high-end interior design and furniture design
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a proactive, can-do mindset
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience
Hourly position for the first six months, with the potential to transition into a salaried role thereafter
