Junior Designer
Globalla Inc. is looking for a designer that has strong style, color and conceptual skills. A creative person who understands how to design a product with sense of trends for fashion accessories. This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate who is interested in true team collaboration and enhancing ideas to develop these ideas into merchandise that will please our targeted consumers. Our main product categories are socks, hosiery and knit cold & warm weather accessories for women, men & kids.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for researching markets in order to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques and presenting to the team
2. Understands the competitive landscape and how to segment products for different markets
3. Graphic/ creative/ development responsibilities ranging from CAD design, tech packs to style sheets
4. Provide clear communication to factories of all artwork files and relevant materials for samples to be accurate
6. Timely review of samples and communicate comments to the factory and team
7. Track samples and provide design comments in a timely manner
8. Responsible for meeting all due dates as outlined in the design calendar
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must possess a Certificate of Fashion Design that is recognized in Quebec (Quebec Design Certificate)
2. Min 3 years of relevant design experience
4. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite /Illustrator and Microsoft Office applications (Excel in particular)
5. Experience in AI application relating to design is an asset
6. Other image/graphic creation platforms
7. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize
8. Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate clearly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
