Junior Engineer, Product Design
Our Team
Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions engineering team is part of the Molex group. Our team excels in providing comprehensive solutions, particularly in the domains of Data Centres, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Medical Healthcare, Central Offices, and other structured cabling systems. In addition, we support Molex CoreSync, a versatile smart building solution that incorporates a wide range of devices and sensors, allowing it to be adapted for various applications and industries.
What You Will Do
• Primarily responsible for sustaining engineering projects (ECR, EWR), including design modifications, documentation, and qualification testing. Initially, you’ll focus on these sustaining projects to gain experience under the guidance of senior engineers, with opportunities to transition toward more NPD work as your expertise develops.
• Actively undertakes engineering team activities on all projects in development, including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, Engineering Change Orders, and other technical documentation, while ensuring work aligns with Molex's Product Development Process (PDP) and adheres to best design practices.
• Support design verification activities using industry-standard techniques like DVP, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, GD&T, and PPAP to ensure designs meet performance and functional requirements, while also assisting with product certifications (UL, CE, UKCA) and compliance processes, including REACH and RoHS.
• Collaborate with CES global teams, including internal operations, product management, supply chain, quality, and vendors worldwide. Additionally, work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers, applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to bring products into production.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by actively seeking ways to enhance processes and product designs, while consistently adhering to high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
• Interact globally with different regions (USA, India, Australia, ANZ, Poland, China, etc.) regularly to sort out operations, Quality and product related challenges and be flexible to extend the time to match others time zones.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• GTTC, NTTF / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years design experience, Preferred electromechanical products – components and assemblies.
• Experienced with NX, SAP and PLM
• Familiarity with Plastic and Sheet metal design.
