Job Description
A Digital Designer for Textile Manufacturing is responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing têxtile designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves translating hand-drawn sketches and concepts into digital formats, preparing design presentations, and collaborating closely with the product development team to ensure designs are accurately executed in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create and develop têxtile designs using CAD software.
- Translate design concepts into digital formats.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Present design ideas and drafts to clients or team members for approval.
- Ensure designs are accurately represented in production.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in têxtile design and CAD software.
- Test colors and fabric compatibility with design patterns.
- Maintain a database of designs, têxtiles, and patterns for reference.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure the feasibility of designs.
The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms.
